As a middle school teacher who works with all three grades, I can tell you that the difference between grades within a middle school is enough to make your head spin! Kids this age have a very specific set of needs. Our job should be to actively prepare them for success in high school and plant the seeds for success in college and beyond. Thank you for verbalizing something that has definitely bugged me too!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4656908554946621165.post-61215172712622617132010-04-19T04:40:26.303-04:002010-04-19T04:40:26.303-04:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.鄭凱仲念阿彌陀佛往生西方極樂世界noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4656908554946621165.post-21689899357514469802010-04-18T08:54:28.640-04:002010-04-18T08:54:28.640-04:00I completely agree with this. A friend of mine graduated with a degree in middle level education and do you know how many people scratch there heads and ask her what that is? And it's because it is SO impossible to find offered. For me, it needs to start at the educational level (because you're right, students need such specialized instruction during those years) and continue on through professional development. Keep fighting the good fight!TeachEnEspanolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01191645034619610708noreply@blogger.com
